Have you used any In Home Use Permanent Hair Removal Products? And did it work?

There are no permanent hair removal methods you can do at home. The only permanent hair removal method is electrolysis.

Have you used any In Home Use Permanent Hair Removal Products? And did it work?

Yes, and they did not work. I use Sally Hanson hair removal cream on my legs now and that works great.

Whats the best (and least damaging) permanent hair removal?

Like for all over body (not face though)

Whats the best (and least damaging) permanent hair removal?

I do this as a career. I suguest waxing. Laser is very exp. and isnt always going to work. What waxing does is damages your hair follical and the longer you wax the better, If you wax say for 5-6 yrs (no saving in between) your hair is going to stop coming in in spots and is also going to get thiner and harder to see. For best resalts go to a salon that prices is around 20-40 for your legs.

Whats the best (and least damaging) permanent hair removal?

Ive heard lazer treatment works really good but it can also get expensive so Im not sure sorry!!

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

What do you know about IPL permanent hair removal?

Is it effective?is it safe if you use it on your face above your lips?can it cause any harm to your teeth ?

What do you know about IPL permanent hair removal?

It and laser hair removal are effective for hair removal if you are a good candidate. You also need to make sure that the practioner is experienced....especially for IPS. I had it done 6 years ago and the hair is still gone.

Do you now any plases for permanent hair removal, not expensiv?or facial treatments?

face, upper lip, full legs, under arm ,ful arm ,bikin----- prices?

facial tretmans-----prices?

Do you now any plases for permanent hair removal, not expensiv?or facial treatments?

Aculight is a permanent hair removal treatment. Similar to laser. It's not cheap, but the results are brilliant! It works by killing the hair roots so they can't grow back. It obviously can't do anything to stop your body from producing more hair folicles, but no product can do that. You need to check with your therapist to see if you're suitable for this kind of treatment, as it's not very effective on certain skin/hair types.

Do you now any plases for permanent hair removal, not expensiv?or facial treatments?

well one, go back to school and resit your english gcse ( sorry but your spelling is awful) after that you can have follicle removal treatment which costs a small fortune cos its done by laser, or you could shave everyday like us blokes have to, next to no help whatsoever....... sorry!

Do you now any plases for permanent hair removal, not expensiv?or facial treatments?

go to your local collages that do beauty courses they are always willing to help and are cheap and professional

Laser

Ne one has an idea about permanent Hair removal from EARS?

Pluck them out w/ tweezers.

I am serious.

God has a sense of humor for sure. As a male, and as I get older, I started losing hair on my head and growing it on my back, and out of my ears and nose. When I was younger, my barber had to thin my hair before he could cut it. I didn't have any growth in the other areas but I do now. I know that your ears and nose will keep growing also, even though other parts of your body will shrink, especially height due to compression of vertebral discs in your spinal column, and especially if you have had a couple of discs removed as a result of injuries as I have.

What is the best method of permanent hair removal?

Whats the best way? Are the kits you can buy for yourself effective and SAFE? They seem to be so much cheaper than a course of salon treatments that it makes me think they dont work!!

What is the best method of permanent hair removal?

Dear Mary,

I have tried every form of "permanent" hair removal!! There is no such thing as "permanent" hair removal. I've tried electrolysis, laser, depilatories, sugars, waxing. Laser was the most effective although the most expensive. It did not permenantly remove all my hair, but it did thin it down.

Hope this helped, and if you find anything out there that actually works please let me know. :)

The at home products work if you follow the instructions just as they are. They are also just as safe as the salon, but with the at home products read the ingredients and make sure that none will give you an allergy.

What is the best method of permanent hair removal?

The only proven treatment is laser hair removal and you may need to return years later for additional treatments.

What is the best method of permanent hair removal?

Electrolysis.

What is the best method of permanent hair removal?

I had 5 treatments of laser removal to get rid of the hair on my lower legs. Wow it was brilliant. Really really expensive, but I'm really pleased I did it. It was fairly painful, a bit like a burn, but there are different kinds of laser treatments and they don't all hurt. My shins were like shetland pony legs before, and now I can wear tights and look nice doing it.

Can anyone share their experiences of permanent hair removal?

Was it successful? How expensive was it? Were there multiple sessions? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Can anyone share their experiences of permanent hair removal?

I had 4 laser hair removal treatments on the back of my neck 4 years ago and none of the hair has returned. My wife had her bikini area and Underarms done and she also had very good results. The cost for me was around $750 and she paid $1195 for her UA's and bikini line. We are both very happy with the results.

If you decide to get a laser treatment done, make sure to go to someone with alot of experience and fairly new equipment. The treatment works great unless the laser operator is clueless or the equipment is ineffective.

The attached site have more information and offer providers who have received good customer service scores.

Can anyone share their experiences of permanent hair removal?

i don't know ?...............

Can anyone share their experiences of permanent hair removal?

I have had electrolysis done and it was successful. Its was 20 to $25 per visit.

I do not know how much it cost total but it took a number a visits over a year to clean up my eybrows and numerous stray hairs. That was 4 or 5 years ago. Now I go about once a year for new strays that pop up.

Good Luck!

Can anyone share their experiences of permanent hair removal?

i've tried laser, well actually its not considered laser, they told me its a newer technology. it was my first time, and the results were great. but to get the hair permanently removed i have to go for like 5 to 8 times.

What is the best method for permanent hair removal. lasers or electrolysis?

Laser. It doesn't take as many treatments

What is the best method for permanent hair removal. lasers or electrolysis?

I had laser treatment and I'm thinking of trying electrolysis.... laser treatment didn't work that well.

What is the best method for permanent hair removal. lasers or electrolysis?

lasers I hear.

Laser worked well on my upper lip. But it doesn't work so great if you are still a teenager.

What is the best form of permanent hair removal you can do at home?

I would definitely try waxing but I have never seen it last up to 2 months! More like 3-4 weeks on average. But it is the best thing to try.

What is the best form of permanent hair removal you can do at home?

i don't think there is anything you can do at home for permanent hair removal

What is the best form of permanent hair removal you can do at home?

electrolysis-u can buy the machines quite cheaply from department/drugstores/ walmart

What is the best form of permanent hair removal you can do at home?

The only permanent methods of hair removal are laser hair removal and electrolysis. But those are costly, and you definitely cannot do them at home. Try waxing, it isn't permanent, but it will last for up to 2 months.

What is the best form of permanent hair removal you can do at home?

It is not permanent, but I recently got an epilator, it will hurt the first couple of times you use it, but I have been extremely happy with it. I used to get like a five o'clock shadow on my legs and now I can go a week without shaving. I love it! Try this one: Norelco HP2841/32 Satinelle Epilator, it works well and is fairly cheap, it can get really short hair too!!

Never heard of it.

However, there are 6 customer reviews on the product on Amazon UK. Here's a link. It seems like it's 50/50 good %26amp; bad. Plus, the price on Amazon is much cheaper...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rio-Laser-Remova...

Hi, has anyone used the Rio permanent hair removal home system?

Dont do it, it will take you for ever and you will give up. Go to a proper salon, I have been and it only took three treatments at 鎷?00 a time to totally get rid of my bikini and underarm hair. I booked a course of six but did not need them (you go every six to eight weeks). I now have a smooth area instead of a hairy one, and it only took three 15 minute visits. You will spend weeks and weeks with a Rio. I am getting a refund for the other three unused visits so you cant lose. Also they often offer two areas for the price of one or 20% off courses,so shop around. I am in England and used Skin Clinics.

What's the best, most permanent hair-removal technique?

Try Laser treatment...

What's the best, most permanent hair-removal technique?

Electrolysis is the most permanent method. Lasers work well, but the technique is more expensive (and usually involves multiple treatments, plus yearly maintenance sessions),

What's the best, most permanent hair-removal technique?

If its a little pluck them like eyebrows, then laser or electrolysis for a lot of hair, The thing is to pull it up from the roots

What's the best, most permanent hair-removal technique?

Laser treatment. I got my underarms lasered and I LOVE it. I never have to shave again, and even though it's really not that big of a deal to shave your underarms, it's still one less thing I have to worry about. However, it does hurt a lot, but when you consider the fact that you never have to shave again, it's pretty worthwhile. At least to me anyway.

What's the best, most permanent hair-removal technique?

Laser Hair Removal. Electrolysis works too but you can only treat 1 follicle at a time and LHR needs 5-6 Tx whereas electrolysis needs 10-25. I had my neck done and my wife had her bikini and under arms done a number of years ago. Both worked very well.

What's the best, most permanent hair-removal technique?

obviously its laser hair removal, im not the first one to say it! i just wanted to tell you- because ive noticed you're a guy- that my best friend's boyfriend got his back and chest lasered and so far they LOVE it. it does take about 6 treatments spread out evenly by 7 weeks to track the hair cycle. i recommend looking up a spa that specializes with American Laser Centers. I'm getting my upper lip lasered and its SO expensive! But totally worth it. I paid cash but if you're going to go all out they have financing available and you only have to pay the minimum each month. Weird that you can have a laser hair removal credit card! But it makes it affordable for the first time.

What's the best, most permanent hair-removal technique?

I did it maybe 9 years ago and it helped alittle. yes my hair on my arms and underarms did grow back but not as much as before. I had 3 treatments I think, BUT it was 9 years ago so Im sure it has advanced. The person that was lasering my arms used the wrong kind of marking tool when making a grid on my skin and it resulted in grid scabs on my arm, they went away thankfully! I also noticed that when I had my period it hurt more.

Is laser treatment effective in permanent hair removal.please advice.?

I agree with Don.

When getting laser hair removal, you have to keep some things in mind.

1. Doing your research and finding a good hair removal laser clinic around your area.

2. ask a lot of questions when you are with the Dermatologists .

3. Maybe you are getting hair removed from your face, take into consideration the amount of hair you have on your face, the thickness of the hair, the colour of the hair, the colour of your skin, the condition of your skin(sensitive, oily).

4. The treatment is applied about 5 to 6 time depending on your hair could be more.

Check out this site http://www.hairremovaljournal.org/docq.h... for further information.

Hope this helps you.

Is laser treatment effective in permanent hair removal.please advice.?

It is effective, it was my impression it is permanent although I could be wrong. IPL is not laser, I'm not sure what other forms of "laser" hair removal they do. I don't know if they really do electrolysis anymore, but I'm pretty sure that is permanent.

For the lasers and IPL though, they only target hair follicles in the anagen growth phase, so hair that is not actively growing will not be "zapped". This is why multiple treatments over a period of time is necessary.

Is laser treatment effective in permanent hair removal.please advice.?

Hi, I've been using laser hair removal for years. I do find it to be quite costly though, and it does come back over time. Do some research of the various kinds of hair removal and experiment, it's about the only way to find out.

What do you know about permanent hair removal with a laser? Is it worthwhile? Dangerous?

Here's a great product i use and highly recommend to you its one of the most advanced hair removal systems.

What do you know about permanent hair removal with a laser? Is it worthwhile? Dangerous?

itz very dangerus these days because the person who doin it probably wont pay atention or sumthin like this 1 lady got it dont and now her whole face is scared and it looks horrible now she has to cover it up with makeup!

What do you know about permanent hair removal with a laser? Is it worthwhile? Dangerous?

A lot of people are waking up from the hangover of the panacea of laser wonder cures.

Lasers do what they can.

Type in ' laser surgery hazards ' in you search window and follow it up from there.

Electrolysis usually answers well but you should also look under ' hazards ', ' side effects ' no matter what you're promised.

Hope this helps.

What do you know about permanent hair removal with a laser? Is it worthwhile? Dangerous?

I has started to save up for hair removal surgery until I found out that one visit doesn't get rid of all the hair. You have to keep going back until it is all gone for good.

What do you know about permanent hair removal with a laser? Is it worthwhile? Dangerous?

I'm not too sure about all of the risks, but I do know it is expensive. It also take a few times for the hair to stop coming back. Not only that, but in my opinion it hurts. My dermatologist had a new machine, and she let me do the bottom portion of my legs. Its quite painful.

Where can i get a permanent hair removal solution?

there are laser hair removal clinics now that remove the hair as close to permanently as your gonna get

Where can i get a permanent hair removal solution?

go to hairfacts.com/permanent

Is there any home use permanent hair removal systems that work?

I really don't think so. I spent almost one hundred dollars on some kind of machine that was supposed to work and really did nothing at all whatsoever. Don't waste your money! If you are really trying to permanently remove hair, your best bet is electrolysis. It can be painful, but not unbearable, and costs usually 25 dollars a session. Every time you go, some hairs are permanently gone. By about eight sessions you will see a huge improvement. I really think it's the better way to go.

Hope that helps

Is there any home use permanent hair removal systems that work?

I use the 'cut and bleach' method. Or at least I did 20 years ago. One treatment sufficient.

Is there any home use permanent hair removal systems that work?

well honestly there is no way of getting rid of extra hairs. All is fake i believe because it happen due to hormonal changes and u can't stop it.

Is there any home use permanent hair removal systems that work?

Well, unfortunately no. Some methods, though do last longer than others like epilating, and hair removing cream. The only permanent hair removal symstem I can think of is the laser, which can sometimes take quite a few times to banish the hairs forever (!) and it also costs more but it does get rid of the hair forever.

Is there any home use permanent hair removal systems that work?

The only permanent hair removal I have heard of is laser treatment %26amp; you have to go to a hospital or clinic to get that done.

Laser hair removal? does it really do anything permanent?

okay... so i'm very confused. I'm trying to decide whether or not to get laser hair removal on my bikini area.. but some people say it's permanent REMOVAL while others say it's only permanent REDUCTION. what is the truth?

anyone out there have this exact procedure done? I am so afraid of spending this kind of money for no reason at all. Thanks.

Laser hair removal? does it really do anything permanent?

I had 4 treatments 6 years ago and the hair is still gone. The key is making sure you go to someone qualified who has good equipment. The term permanent hair reduction derives from the FDA where a pulse of the laser can destroy 95 out of 100 active follicles. Because is was not 100%, the FDA required the term reduction in advertising. By getting 4-5 treatments, you are destroying virtually all of the follicles if it is done correctly.

The site http://www.HairRemovalForum.com has only certified providers who have received positive surveys from previous customers.

Laser hair removal? does it really do anything permanent?

it does work but u have to go in for more than one treatment. you probably need to do it for like a year or soo.....

Laser hair removal? does it really do anything permanent?

I think it is completely permanent but you have to go back more than once for it to be completely gone forever. After one session I think it'll just be reduced.

Has anyone tried aculite permanent hair removal?

I'm thinking of having my underarms and bikini line done but it's expensive and I don't want to fork out loads of money if it's rubbish.

Has anyone tried aculite permanent hair removal?

It works very well if you get someone to do it that is trained and recommended for the procedure. There are some things to think about:

-While the electrolysis hair removal method is considered permanent, this does not happen in the first visit. In fact, it can take a large amount of treatments before an area is considered to be free of hair. One reason for this is that hair follicles grow at different times; therefore, some of the follicles will be dormant and are not treated.

-Another cause for multiple treatments that are needed is that if the root is not hit exactly right, some of the root will not be destroyed and can continue to grow hair. The average treatment will result in approximately 2/3 of the hair being removed, with the success of the session depending upon the skill of the technician performing the electrolysis.

-It is important to note that while an increasing number or do-it-yourself electrolysis systems are on the market; this is not a good idea, particularly when facial hair needs to be removed. This is because the home systems use a lesser amount of voltage, therefore allowing a greater number of hair follicles to survive and re-grow. Removing hair on the face requires a mirror, which can distort vision and lead to problems.

I have had it done and it was wonderful, but I would definitely recommend going to someone that is highly skilled at permanent hair removal.

Has anyone tried aculite permanent hair removal?

not for me but it works for some people

Do those electronic pulse "permanent" hair removal systems truly work?

For some people they do. If you have fair skin and darker hair it works best. Also, the hair has to be a certain length, and you can't pluck or wax between treatments. It can take up to about ten treatments (6 or so weeks apart) before it's all gone.

They are going to be putting rogaine down there in a year or two. hairless genitals is just a fad, and when it's over, everyone will see how ridiculous it is. Inevitably the fashion will change, and I see signs that bald genitals are already becoming less fashionable. I predict that within ten years anyone with bare balls will be keeping his pants on out of embarrassment. Anyone who makes permanent bodily changes to satisfy a passing fashion is just plain stupid.

Yes. They are referred to as gay men who think they know better than God how a body should be.

Why anyone would see the need is beyond me.

Are there men having permanent hair removal in the genital area?

Enought of the personal veiw of the subject the question is IF, not WHO. The answer is yes and regardless of what you might be led to believe it happens more often than one might expect. The question comes down to finding a clinic that will do it. While women get the procedure done much more often than men, it is still done. Something along the line of a brazilian lazer treatment. And since we no longer need the pubic hair to hold the smell that at one time was used to attract a mate, I'm right along with you. Who needs it! If I had the time and money, I would interested in getting it done.

Are there men having permanent hair removal in the genital area?

what is natural is the most beautiful...... pubic hair is what makes a man sexy, he'd look so.....well, bald without it. This is what the gay (and meterosexual) stuff is made of (but I guess if you want to do it, who am I to say anything)

I also find this western practise of circumcision so ugly and rather unmanly, if I may say so.

it's like cutting off a part of a man!

I believe that electrolysis is the best permanent hair removal system but the home systems can cause scarring and it should be done by a professional. Can be expensive and will need several treatments.

I tend to use a cream and then pluck the regrowth. It isn't permanent but it is inexpensive and works well for a couple of months.

Which is the best permanent hair removal system?

Laser is probably the best form of hair removal ,although they don't always guarantee that the results will be permanent. It depends on the fairness and courseness of the hair you have on your upper lip. Waxing is both popular and a good way to remove the hair, unfortunately the results only last a few weeks, but the hair is tapered when it grows back, which makes it less noticable. Never tweeze or shave the hair as it will only come back thicker, courser and more noticable.

If i want a laser hair removal will it be a permanent hair removal?

Once the follicle is destroyed, it is permanently destroyed. New hair follicles can become active in the future due to hormonal changes. I have been hair free for 6 years and my wife was hair free and she had some new under arm growth when she became pregnant. Generally you will need 4-7 treatments. Make sure you go to someone good. The #1 reason that people waste $$$ is because the practitioner is not knowledgeable. The attached site has info and some certified provider options.

If i want a laser hair removal will it be a permanent hair removal?

yes it will be permanent. but it takes about 6 sessions spread out over months in order to stop the hair growth. and your hair can't be red or blonde or the laser machine can't detect the hair.

If i want a laser hair removal will it be a permanent hair removal?

Depends.

It takes around 6 to 8 sessions for it to be completed.

If its done right, it will be permanent. But every 5 or 6 years you go back to get it re-done. (Well so they say).

If its done wrong, it won't work. It'll be a waste of money %26amp; time.

And it may even destroy the skin.

So make sure that if you get it done, go to a Professional salon that has been recommended.

Good luck :]

Can men get permanent hair removal (laser work) on their beards?

My lower neck has always been a problem. The beard doesn't grow right in this small area, and I'm constantly fighting razor bumps. Can I get lasered there? If so, how much do u think it'd cost?

Can men get permanent hair removal (laser work) on their beards?

I had my neck done and it worked great! You have no idea how much better shaving was w/o the neck hairs. The cost was around $450 for 4 treatments. The cost is dependent on the size of the area.

What do u mean by permanant hair removal products? I only know laser hair removal, and as far as I know, u can't do that at home. But I've used temporary ones like Nair, is that what ur refering to? If so, it worked for me when I was a teen, but then I discovered I'm allergic to those kind of products, so I stopped. then in my twenties, I figured, screw it, and tried it again, and it didn't work for me.

Is there a permanent hair removal cream?

no- as long as u have blood running through ur body hair will keep growing. if u want to permanently remove hair try laser hair removal therapy- there the dermal papilla root is destroyed therefor not allowing the hair to grow back.

i dont think so, but you can get laser hair removal

Is there a permanent hair removal cream?

no, hair removing creams are minimisers, they make hair grow back thinner but if you want it gone completely and permanently then you have to get laser surgery.

Is there a permanent hair removal cream?

No.

"Permanent" is a tricky term in the hair removal industry. Even electrolysis and laser hair removal, long considered "permanent" need yearly maintenance long after the initial treatment. Anyone who claims otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about and you should NOT use their business.

Your best bet is to look into laser hair removal, which is easy, effective, and has minimal pain. Following laser hair removal treatments, clean up any excess hairs with electrolysis, which is more expensive, time consuming, and painful.

Is there a permanent hair removal cream?

You need to get lazer hair removal surgery

Is there a permanent hair removal cream?

What kind of Permanent Hair Removal technique is best? If Laser, what type of Laser? No wax please!?

Laser is the best "permanent" option for any area larger than a dime or for treatment of more than 10 hairs. The best system is dependent on your skin type and the color and thickness of your hair. Alexandrite's and Diodes work pest for lighter skin with darker hair and Yag's work best for dark skin/dark hairs and for lighter hairs. You can get very good results from all 3 if the laser operator is knowledgeable on what they are doing.

What kind of Permanent Hair Removal technique is best? If Laser, what type of Laser? No wax please!?

Haha. I'm not an expert on all this laser hair removal stuff, but wax really doesnt hurt unless you go to the chinese people because they use cheap wax..

What kind of Permanent Hair Removal technique is best? If Laser, what type of Laser? No wax please!?

Using properly tuned lasers, either individual hairs or large areas can be removed quickly. The laser kills the roots with heat.

Proponents of laser treatments claim it can be used on any part of the body, including the pubic areas, without more than a little warming sensation.

However, there can be problems with skin discoloration, inability to tan and possibly even scarring from improper use of a laser.

Also there is an issue as to whether the removal will be permanent.

What kind of Permanent Hair Removal technique is best? If Laser, what type of Laser? No wax please!?

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are 閳ユ笡ermanent閳?hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

What kind of Permanent Hair Removal technique is best? If Laser, what type of Laser? No wax please!?

As you can see by the other posts, laser hair removal is very expensive. Laser hair removal generally works best on fair skinned people with dark hair as the laser has to be able to differentiate between the hair shaft and your skin.

In some cases hair has started to grow again after 12-18 months. Check with you laser clinic as to their guarantee and policy on this matter.

There are also home laser hair removal kits like the Rio. It uses a safe 808nm diverging diode based laser system. The main difference between the Rio and a salon laser is that it can only treat one hair at a time whereas the salon laser will treat an area of about 1cm squared.

The Rio is quite cheap though and can be used repeatedly. It may be good to test how effective laser treatments will be before investing a lot of money.

Do any of these permanent hair removal creams work and if so which ones work best?

Imac is temporary. Laser treatment is permanent. I would worry about some cream that would work permanently - it would have very strong ingredients that would do something else to you!

You need to kill off the hair follicle for permanent hair loss, so it is down to plucking and imac-ing for now, I expect. Sorry!

Do any of these permanent hair removal creams work and if so which ones work best?

i have never heard of permanent hair removal cream - i think maybe you are mistaken, but if not please let us know where it comes from - it would be like the holy grail for thousand of women!!

What permanent hair removal options are there and are they expensive?

currently there r 2 methods that r recommended

1.electrolysis

2.laser

the 1st is cheaper but is known to ve certain side efffects like discoloration of skin etc. also u may ve a little soreness and raw area.

the 2nd is the laser therapy, its very expensive and there r usually no soide effects. but the availability is limited.

in india the laser therapy may start feom 5000rs or 100dollars to 12000rs or 250 dollars

both r permanent hair removal techniques and quite effective

Is there a cheap way to permanent hair removal?

Not surgery or constant waxing, i want a permanent cheap way, anyone know one?

Is there a cheap way to permanent hair removal?

As far as I know, there isn't any surgery available for hair removal, and waxing is not permanent. The only proven methof of truly permanent hair removal is electrolysis. And at $60-$100 per hout for treatments, it certainly is not cheap. And it takes many sessions before the hairs are gone for good. Laser hair removal is good, but its not totally permanent in the true sense of the word. My understanding is that once you are done withthe initial treatments, there are still maintenance treatmets that you need once in a while. Though that may mean only once every year or two. So I guess it could still be considered permanent. But, once again, its expensive - though not nearly as expensive as electrolysis.

Hope this helps.

Is there a cheap way to permanent hair removal?

y would u want it permenently removed?! hmmm idk?

Is there such a thing as (permanent) hair removal?

Lasar and electrolsis is recommended, but the effects are not permanent.

Is there such a thing as (permanent) hair removal?

They are both permenant.

Is there such a thing as (permanent) hair removal?

If laser or electrolysis is done correctly it should be permanent.

Is there such a thing as (permanent) hair removal?

I thought electrolosis was permanent as it kills the hair follicles completely

Which is the better method of permanent hair removal-- laser or electrolysis?

Which has fewer side effects, shorter recovery, less pain, more permanent effects, etc?

Which is the better method of permanent hair removal-- laser or electrolysis?

Laser hair removal...no contest. Electrolysis hurts more and has a higher risk of scarring. Laser covers a larger area, faster.

I have had both and cannot begin to explain the benefits of laser over electrolysis. If you go for a laser consult, make sure the person is experienced and is using fairly new technology.

Which is the better method of permanent hair removal-- laser or electrolysis?

I閳ユ獡 getting Laser now, but electrolysis might be more worth it. My mum got it done 30 years ago and it hasn't had any negative effects and the hair hasn閳ユ獩 grown back. I don't know what the long-term effects of laser are right now, but for the moment it is less painful than electrolysis. Report It

Which is the better method of permanent hair removal-- laser or electrolysis?

Laser. Electrolysis is MUCH more painful, potential scarring, etc...

Laser is more expensive, however. It has the potential to last up to 2 years.

Which is the better method of permanent hair removal-- laser or electrolysis?

I've heard from many sources that laser is better and less painful, though no means of hair removal can really guarantee permanent hair removal, especially not just by doing it once!

Which is the better method of permanent hair removal-- laser or electrolysis?

Laser removal is more effective if you have dark thick hair. Peach fuzz or blonde hair is harder to remove and you won't get the same effects as having the darker hair. Laser removes more hairs at one time while electrolysis "zaps" one hair at a time. Laser treatments you have to keep going back for sessions, electrolysis you may have to go back for a few stray hairs here and there. Laser is not as painful either.

Which is the better method of permanent hair removal-- laser or electrolysis?

Laser is awesome! Very expensive but permanent

Who has found something that works for permanent hair removal at home?

Does anyone have any success stories for anything that works to permanently remove unwanted hair?!!! Creams or machines or ANYTHING?!! My husband is coming home after being away for 2 years and I am tired of waxing unwanted hair, can anyone help???

Also, I am fair skinned with blonde to strawberry blonde hair, so laser treatment hasn't worked for me :(

Who has found something that works for permanent hair removal at home?

I'm also blonde and fair skinned. I've heard that electrolysis works well on blondes and is permanent, and I'm planning to do that as soon as I'm old enough. It's not an at home treatment though. For the time being, I'll rub nair on myself before taking a shower and follow the directions carefully, then take a shower and shave normally with a sharp razor. I've never managed to make at home waxing actually work, instead I'm always left with an expensive sticky mess.

Hi,

i am having lot hair on my body, face. My friends suggusted me that laser treatment is the best one.but some beautitients are telling that it damages ur skin.then what to do?

Hi,let me know the permanent hair removal treatment ant it's effect?

The laser treatment subtly turns your skin into scar tissue so that the hair does not grow. It is so subtle that it doesn't appear as your run of the mill scar, and it is very effective. Go to a consultation where they do laser hair removal and they can talk to you about it completely and tell you the pros and cons.

What are the options for permanent hair removal?

Anything I ahve read on these "do it at home" items has been that they are bogus. Would laser or electrolisis places perform "everywhere" if you catch my drift? I'm hesitant to have lasers or needles anywhere NEAR there.... but the hair is a pain in the well, you know :)

What are the options for permanent hair removal?

LASER LASER LASER

i get periodical laser treatment in the armpit and bikini area and each time there is noticibly less hair. its supposed to take about a year but the price and time is so worth a lifetime of not having to shave or wax. p.s. it doesnt hurt, just feels extremely hot and cold in different places

What are the options for permanent hair removal?

Electroloysis, is only permanent hair removal. Don't listen to people or advertisement who say it is.

I have asked electrologist, and laser is not proven to be permanent, and only some people can be candidates.

If you go to laser electrologist, make sure they are licensed by the state, or they could really injure you.

What are the options for permanent hair removal?

i would go for lazer treatment, as electrolosis is slow, expensive and slightly painful

Can a permanent hair removal on the underarms be done twice a month?

is it safe and effective?

Can a permanent hair removal on the underarms be done twice a month?

If it's a permanent hair removal, then why would you have to do it twice ?????? ...Nuf Said

Can a permanent hair removal on the underarms be done twice a month?

If you have new growth, there should be no problem. I'd wait though.

Can a permanent hair removal on the underarms be done twice a month?

I just got my first laser treatment on my underarms and the RN said to wait four weeks before another treatment.

Can a permanent hair removal on the underarms be done twice a month?

permanent hair removal, twice a month??? if its permanent, your only gonna need it once... ever.

Can a permanent hair removal on the underarms be done twice a month?

Because hair is at different stages of growth at all times, you need to have more than one treatment to ensure the results are good. Most hair removal lasers only treat pigmented "adult" hairs with a bulb and a root. Fair hair or recently tweezed or waxed hairs don't have enough melanin for the laser to target. If you are really serious about treating the hair, you need to follow the instructions of the technician or doctor so you can get destroy the most hairs during each visit.

I had laser hair removal of the underarms about 6 years ago. I had....probably six treatments, total. I have one or two very fine hairs in each underarm now. If I still had access to free treatment, I'd do it again and get rid of those few that are still there! But all in all, I'm very happy with never having to worry about shaving.

I also had this treatment on my forearms. Believe me, I looked like a monkey girl before the treatment. My arms are smooth now, although I still have a few hairs that resisted the treatment. At any rate, I'm glad I did it. Waxing, Nads, shaving...all that stuff was awful. The laser did the trick.

Can a permanent hair removal on the underarms be done twice a month?

at my dermatologist office no. They only offer the service once every 4 - 5 weeks as they do not own the laser equipment. They have a technician from the laser company come every month to assist with the proedures.

I normally go every 2 - 3 months. I don't know that you will see the hair growth that you zapped fall out yet, so your next hair cycle may not have started. Check with the place you are going to.

Can a permanent hair removal on the underarms be done twice a month?

No twice per month would be too frequent as the spacing of the treatments is meant to statistically treat as many active hairs as possible with the fewest number of treatmsnts. Laser treatments only work if the the hair is in the active growth phase. Generally you need 4-6 Tx to be able to treat 99% of the hairs in a general vicinity. The variance in the number of treatments necessary is dependent on the area of the body that you are treating. As a general rule of thumb, hair follicles above the neck are much more active than hair follicles below the neck. For that reason, you can treat hair follicles above the neck in 4-6 week increments. Hair below the neck should be in 6-12 week increments. Leg follicles are the least active and something like 30-40% of the follicles are active at any given time.

I have had 4 Tx done on my neck and my wife had her UA, bikini and legs done. The treatments worked great and 6 years later I do not have any regrowth. My wife also had great results and her UA and bikini areas have not seen regrowth. For her legs, she only had 2 Tx so the hair was thinned but not completely removed.

If you go to www.HairRemovalForum.com you can get a clear understanding of how the various technologies work on different body parts. That site also has a list of providers and with www.SignatureForum.com they rate providers nationwide. The most important thing related to getting good results is to go to someone who knows what they are doing and utilize the latest technology. It is also much better to go to someone who OWNS their laser. I have witnessed really bad situations with mobile laser rental systems where calibrations get messed up and patients are either over or under treated.

I am interested in Permanent hair removal solutions. Has anyone had any luck?

There are for example, these laser treatments but I am nervous that they could cause other damage or be a catalyst for cancer. Does anyone have any experience or know if it is safe or not? I can't wax or tweeze because i get so many infected ingrown hairs .. on my face i break out if i pluck. HELP!!

I am interested in Permanent hair removal solutions. Has anyone had any luck?

BEFORE COMMITTING TO IT:

1. Find a reputable salon/clinic with properly trained staff (people with a background in nursing are the best)

2. Go for a consultation and get all the facts before you make a decision. They might do a free test for you on your arm so that you can experience the sensation (it ain't a walk in the park for some people - everyone's got a different pain threshold)

FAST FACTS:

* Laser hair removal typically requires multiple sessions (between 4 and 6 minimum) because hair grows in a cycles.

* You may be required to pay a high price PER session and then after the minimum number, you can either be put on a maintenance program (where you pay per zap) or go back to them for free treatments (pricing purely depends on the salon/clinic).

* It's fine for you to wax/shave inbetween sessions

* The laser works best on dark hair on light skin

* For fine hair (like on your upper lip), the minimum number of sessions can be up to 10

* Skin on different parts of the body has different sensitivity levels (i.e. your eyelid skin is different to the skin on your back, right?). Having your underarms lasered might be almost painless while having your bikini lasered could leaving your skin burning for a while afterwards.

* To help with the pain during the treatment, you can go to a pharmacy and get an anaesthetic cream (ask the clinic/salon to recommend a good one to you). This cream has to be applied a short time before the treatment.

THE PROCESS:

- You and the nurse/beautician will be required to wear special goggles during the procedure

- The nurse/beautician will spread a gel over the affected area.

- While using the laser, a jet blowing cold air will make the gel icy cold in order to help numb the pain once the nurse/beautician starts "firing away".

- Once treatment of the area is complete, the nurse will wipe away the gel and apply a soothing cream/lotion.

- Afterwards, you may be given a coldpack to put on the affected area to help numb any lingering pain you might experience.

BOTTOM LINE:

- The results are very much worth the pain.

- DON'T go for 1 or 2 sessions then give up ("pain" is not a reason to quit). Commit yourself to going for the minimum number of sessions (even if you decide to spread the sessions out over a longer period).

I am interested in Permanent hair removal solutions. Has anyone had any luck?

nope

I am interested in Permanent hair removal solutions. Has anyone had any luck?

I had 2 treatments of electrolysis. You can get the doctor to write for a numbing cream called EMLA that helps witht he pain. I had trouble anyway because I went at the worst time. You should never go when you have your period because you have more pain then. It did reduce hair grown some. It takes more treatments however. They put a needle and shock every little hair folicle so it is not pleasent. It is expensive the place I went charged by time. I cannot remember how much. It depends how large the area is and where it is on how painful it is. If it is near your mouth i would expect it to be painful, but emla might really help. Exfoliation is what they told me to do for the ingrown hairs. I think there is a certain timing for it. Like I said it did reduce, but I could not stand it. I was doing bikini line and it was such a large area. I needed more than 2 treatments. I needed more pain cream than I was allowed because the area is larger and the dose would be too high.

Which permanent hair removal is the best?

i've heard alot but still aren't convinced cause at salons they seem to promote the kind of lazer, epilight , photolysis or whatever they use, so i'm abit confused!!

Has anyone got any real experience on the matter? i will only be able to afford trying once so i'm looking for the one with the best longlasting results!!

Does permanent hair removal work?

ya

Does permanent hair removal work?

Yes they do, But you need to have a few sessions of it to have it work to it's full effects and in some cases there is no guarantee that a hair won't grow back. It is expensive but very much worth it in the long run, If you are looking to have it done, go to a place that is accredited and can offer your permanent removal of the hair so if it grows back you have a money back guarantee

Does permanent hair removal work?

yes...some info for you

Does permanent hair removal work?

they work on removing hair, but i wouldnt say permanently. but they definitely make a bigg difference on hair growth and thickness. keep in mind that you have to go back to them more than once because they do it in sessions, and how much it costs.

i say go for it :D what have you got to lose?

Does permanent hair removal works.. any side effects?

My experience with laser hair removal is okay, but the hair doesn't completely stay away. There's not as much, but most is gone. Oh yeah, it can cause skin discoloration if you don't keep the spot out of the sun or use sunblock!

Does permanent hair removal works.. any side effects?

yeah it works good!

Does permanent hair removal works.. any side effects?

Yes it does. I've had my facial hair removed before (laser treatment) and it didn't grow back. But this is of course, after about 8 to 10 treatments, which normally has an interval of 2 to 3 months. This is science my dear, not a miracle so I suggest don't expect that once you have that hair removed, it won't grow back anymore the week after. As for the side effects, well, there's none really.. except that after the area has been treated, if it's done by laser, it'll leave a dark red/purplish mark, which stays there overnight. But the following day, your skin would be as good as new.

Does permanent hair removal works.. any side effects?

Permanent hair removal is generally very successful, though it can take several treatments to achieve the desired effect.

Side effect depend on the type or treatment - you can go into any salon offering the treatment for advice and a consultation, and they'll be able to tell you how successful the treatment is, and what any side effects are.

I believe all require you to avoid too much sun for a couple of days, and generally they ask you not to exfoliate or use any perfumed products on the treated area.

Is permanent hair removal really premanent?

No but it lasts a long long time and never grows back as thick.

Is permanent hair removal really premanent?

Can be, but to be able to claim permanent hair removal, a company must have a product that removes it for six months. After that, if the hair comes back, the company is not liable.

Go with Laser Hair Removal. I tried electrolysis on that area and it was like a Bad A%$% woodpecker sitting on my forehead going to town. I went with laser hair removal and it was quicker, less painful and comparable in price to electrolysis because fewer treatments are necessary.

Info on permanent hair removal?

Is there any side effects fo removing hairs permanently through laser teshnology??

Info on permanent hair removal?

There are no permanent side effects from the hair being gone. If you have dark skin or are tan, the laser can interact with the melanin in your skin and cause hyper or hypo pigmentation but that is rare.

Info on permanent hair removal?

I saw someone on T.V. who had laser hair removal on her face and she had marks on her skin, they looked horrible, she ended up having more work on her skin to get rid of the marks. Sorry I'm not trying to scare you, but I thought about having it done and now I'm too scared after seeing that. Try an electrolysis.

http://www.prescriptiondrugsusa.net/ ...

Vaniqa (Cream) is a prescription medication applied to the skin for the reduction of unwanted facial hair in women. Vaniqa interferes with an enzyme found in the hair follicle of the skin needed for hair growth. This results in slower hair growth and improved appearance where Vaniqa is applied. Vaniqa does not permanently remove hair or "cure" unwanted facial hair. It is not a depilatory. Your treatment program should include continuation of any hair removal technique you are currently using. Vaniqa will help you manage your condition and improve your appearance.

Apply a thin layer of Vaniqa Cream to affected areas of the face and adjacent involved areas under the chin and rub in thoroughly. Do not wash treated area for at least 4 hours. Use twice daily at least 8 hours apart or as directed by a physician. You should continue to use hair removal techniques as needed in conjunction with Vaniqa. (Vaniqa should be applied at least 5 minutes after hair removal). Cosmetics or sunscreens may be applied over treated areas after cream has dried.

I really hate shaving and want the hair to go for good!

preferably stuff available in the UK!!

x

What the quickest, cheapest, least painfull and longest lasting form of permanent hair removal?

The only permanent removal that I'm aware of, is Electrolysis %26amp; Laser hair removal.

Neither are without pain. Laser is very expensive... not sure about Electrolysis....

Thinking about it, most hair removal hurts.... think waxing, sugaring, epliation... hence why I stick to the trusty razor!! :-)

What the quickest, cheapest, least painfull and longest lasting form of permanent hair removal?

Laser treatments

What the quickest, cheapest, least painfull and longest lasting form of permanent hair removal?

I think there is a laser surgery for hair removal...but I'm not sure. Talk to your doctor.

you might not like it but waxing is the best. i wax my legs ands eyebrows. it doesn;t really hurt. well actually the first time it might but after that not really. but if you go somewhere to get it waxed make sure that it isn't hard wax. cause that will rip some of your skin. but get like soft wax. (it really doesn't hurt.

also you could get nair. its a hair removal thing and you put it on your legs, three mintues later you wipe the cream off and the hair is off for like a week or so.

if u dont like shaving, then waxing is probably a choice. it lasts longer without re-growing the hair. but it wont go for good. but some people tell me if u keep using it time after time eventually the place would stop growing hair.

What the quickest, cheapest, least painfull and longest lasting form of permanent hair removal?

Laser treatments are definitely the best for permanent hair removal but it is pretty expensive (around $500 for your legs per session and u need 6 sessions) The best thing to do is waxing, it usually lasts about a month and its not expensive especially if you do it yourself

What the quickest, cheapest, least painfull and longest lasting form of permanent hair removal?

Quickest: Shaving

Cheapest: Shaving

Longest Lasting: Laser

Least Painful: Laser

Permanent: Laser

Unfortunately we cant have it all!!! Laser is the most permanent and least painful but its also time consuming and very expensive! My favorite is def. waxing but it is PAINFUL!! So you must decide which of the requirements is most important to you and pick your poison...good luck!!

Lase treatments are without a doubt the best form of long term hair removal. However, laser hair removal works best for people who have dark hair and fair skin. If you want to test out the effectiveness of laser then try the Rio. It's much cheaper than salon treatments and uses the same laser technology.

You could also try Kalo Post Epilation Lotion/Spray to make hair regrowth softer and finer.

An excellent waxing/sugaring product is Moom.

Are there any good home electrolysis kits for permanent hair removal?

I am looking for a home kit that will permanently remove one's hair if you could tell me if these products even work and where I could purchase a good one I would be greatful. Thanks

Are there any good home electrolysis kits for permanent hair removal?

im a quafied beauty therpist and qualified in electroylis you can buy them for about 1000 poundsbut do not use them at home there dangerous and you could be left with scars. go to a professional. they do work but it takes a lot of time over a year and thats getting it done twice a week . laser is faster less painful slighty more expensive but with better results

What is the best procedure or products for permanent hair removal?

I tried hair removing lotions and the hair only grows more.

What is the best procedure or products for permanent hair removal?

Electrolysis will remove hair permanently.

What is the best procedure or products for permanent hair removal?

electrolysis for sure. i had mine taken off permanently in the armpit and legs. the procedure works faster with asians and blacks; for caucasians, have to take a longer process. but all in all its all worth it. u dont have to worry about anything. just make sure u have the procedure finished. it could lasts to a year or so. bec the intervals for each treatment gets longer to allow root growth and totally kill it.

What is the best procedure or products for permanent hair removal?

Electrolysis and laser treatments are both permanent. Waxing isn't permanent but works a lot longer than creams, usually you can go about three weeks between waxes depending on the area.

Where can i find permanent hair removal system?

LASER hair removal therapy is aimed at permanent stoppage of hair growth at the site where this treatment is carried out. In order to carry out such procedures, one must be suitable qualified and must have the required equipments. These procedures may appear relatively easy and non-invasive at the outset, but if done under lax conditions, they may cause more harm than good. So it is advisable to check the credibility of the surgeon before you get operated by him.

Besides the above factor, the cost factor must also be considered by those planning to undergo this. LASER hair removal therapy is not a one time session. It requires repeated sittings, and every visit can prove to be expensive. Besides that, the surface area that has to be treated is also a factor in determining the cost.
