Is there any permanent hair removal system - laser, etc?

Is there any really permanent hair removal system, like a laser or something else?

Or they all give temporary results?

Yes, there is electrolysis. That is with a hot needle. Then there is laser. Does it hurt. Yes, to both. Permanent--somewhat. I had electrolysis some 20 years ago. Regrowth due to hormonal change. I am now getting a combination of both done Good Luck.

Correction: When it comes to electrolysis, you can't get "regrowth" due to hormonal change (remember, it's permanent removal), but you CAN get new growth from previously dormant follicles. BUMMER!! Report It

Laser is permanent but not 100% guarenteed. In other words, you will lose some hair, but how much varies with each person. Any place that guarantees a certain percentage, make sure you get a full refund if it is not held.

I've gotten laser and I swear by it. It takes multiple sessions for them to remove all the hair (so about three months, because you have to wait a couple of weeks each time), but it is completely worth it. It pinches a little but is not terribly painful- Plus the technician that does it can adjust the "potency" of the laser, I guess you can say, to make it stronger or weaker depending on the pain you're experiencing. Takes less time than you'd think. I highly recommend it!!

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) laser will remove unwanted hair permanently, but you need at least 4 or 5 sessions to completely remove every hair. That is because hair grows in cycles, and there are dormant follicles under the skin that will eventually come out. As long as you keep "zapping" those hairs that come out, they will eventually dissapear completely. There is a different kind of laser used too- I cannot recall the name though. In my experience, it only burns out the pigment of the hair, it does come all off right after treatment, but hair eventually grows back out... only white. So IPL is best.

Don't even consider electrolisis, it is very painfull and it takes ages. Stick to the newer technology!

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.

Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
