What Is Really The Deal With Permanent Hair Removal???

It is very frustrating, because there is soooo much information out there about permanent hair removal, 95% of which is probably pure garbage.



Everybody is trying to sell some type of machine that claims it works 100% etc.



Is there an official website by the FDA or CDC that can validate all true methods for permenent hair removal?



I mean it seems like the government is allowing all of these scam companies to just rip people off.



Why isn't there official, clinically proven information out there to help people find a product that actually performs??



Why doesn't Consumer Reports put out a study on which products work and which don't?

There is no definitive answer to your question simply because no one technique works perfectly on everyone. Some people have light hair and others suffer from heavy growth or hirsuitism. Genetics determine the type of body hair you have and everyone is unique. Every product out there will have legions of of fans and detractors.



Waxing is the best long term method for hair removal. Waxed hair generally grows back more slowly and can become weaker over time.



With 808nm laser hair removal, Melanin in the epidermis absorbs the energy and limits the depth of penetration of the laser light into the skin. Using a light wavelength of 808nm enables treatment of relatively dark skin as well as fair-skinned types. However, laser hair treatment is not suitable for Afro Caribbean or black skin complexions. Laser treatment is also ineffective in removal of white or grey hair.
