IPL LASER HAIR REMOVAL FOR A MALE /FULL FACE

How many treatments are usually required for permanent hair removal for a tanned male with dark hair?

It should be noted that it is extremely rare to use laser hair removal techniques on male facial hair. Even on body parts with weaker hair growth, it has been known for body hair to start growing again after 12-18 months.

Most clinics don't tell you this and will not actually guarantee permanent hair loss. Ask you laser clinic about their policy regarding this as you will need as many as 10 treatments before the hair on your face stops growing altogether.

Laser hair removal treatments work best on fair skinned people with dark hair as the laser machine has to be able to differentiate between the hair and the skin.

Also, skin redness and mild sensitivity is experienced after laser hair removal treatments. As you are treating your whole face you should be ready for this as it won't look particularly pretty.

As you will be investing a significant amount of money in these treatments you may want to try a low cost home laser hair removal kit like the Rio and test it on a small area of your face and review its effectiveness.

The Rio uses a safe 808nm diverging diode laser and treats one hair at a time whereas salon machines treat an area of about 1cm squared. If the results are satisfactory then you could do your whole face at a salon.

If you find shaving a nightmare and have sensitive skin then try using Kalo Post Epilating lotion to soften your beard, making it easier to shave off. Then follow that up with Ultra Shave as a skin healing moisturiser. It is totally natural (Parabenz free) and contains grape seed extract which is 15000 times stronger than vitamin E.

Probably a few more than a womans, since the hair on a mans face is coarser...its a shame that you are permanently removing it though, scrubble on a man is always sexy- if your gay or straight. It feels nice with it rubbing against ones cheek...think about maybe keeping it? Shaving is a hastle, but being natural is a gift.

if you go to a quality place that has advanced laser techniques it will take about 5 sessions. I believe that I used a laser called a ruby laser. there is one that is one step up from that but the ruby one workeed well too.

First off...do not get a treatment while you are tan! This is dangerous as tan skin implies that the melanin in your skin is active. When a laser treats a hair, it is attracted to the melanin in the follicle of your hair. if there is too much melanin in your skin, the laser heats up your skin instead of the follicle.

That said, you will probably need 6- 10 treatments. Male facial hair is one of the more difficult areas to treat because of the depth of the hair and because you can not treat it as aggressively to ensure that you will not have a burning effect.

Good luck.
